Tripso is the oldest continuously published travel news and commentary site online today.
It was incorporated under the name Ticked.com in late 1998, at the beginning of the passenger rights revolution.
Its founders included travel journalists Christopher Elliott, Charles Leocha and Terry Riley.
After 9/11, it became Travelcomment.com and in 2005, it morphed into Tripso.com.
Tripso is derived from two words: “trip” and the Latin “ipso.” Loosely translated (and we mean, very loosely) it’s your site “because you travel.”
Although we’ve been known by many names, our mission has not changed.
Our columnists are here for you, the traveler.
