Please: No Plaigerizing, esp in Consumer Traveler

In this article, the byline reads, "by Charlie Leocha." Now normally I wouldn't have a really great problem with this, but the search engines and other websites pick up the articles (deservedly) from Consumer Traveler. They will also pick up the above credit, making it look like Charlie wrote it.

The original (as far as I know, and I'm not going to hunt too much) of this article was published in designboom.com (and in all fairness this was noted in the first sentence). But still, co-opting the entire piece without the original copyright notice and making it appear that Leocha wrote it is pretty underhanded journalism.

That is a good point. Perhaps the story template simply needs an adjustable format for items such as this? I'm sure plagiarism wasn't intended, but as K points out, the byline sure seems to adopt the story.

K, did you post this before or after Charlie added the line in the main body that says:

It is a grey area. The sentence says the PHOTOS were featured in Designboom. Is the content also featured? If so, it shoudl be sourced I suspect.

I only spot checked but it looks like all the textual content is a direct lift.
