We need to come up with a better more appropriate ranking system. Right now we have those Bronze, Silver, Gold, etc ranks for our mambers based on the number of posts made.
How bout we start a contest.... In this thread, come up with a ranking theme that works with Tripso. (sky cap, gate agent, flight attendant, co pilot, etc). We need to have a minimum of 6 or 7 in the theme. The mod and admin team will take a look at them and toss decide on the best ones out there and then put those up for a vote for everyone! We are moving towards an OPTIONAL premium membership (details are sketchy right now) and the finalists will get a premium membership for a year for free! Don;t ask what it entails--I don't know. Be creative and let's see what we can come up with !

Your idea is great, John, since it's aviation related
.At another board I'm a member of (Aerosite), that's how we work it. Here's what we use: 0-20 posts -Cadet 21-40 posts -2nd Officer 41-80 posts -1st Officer 81-100 posts -Captain 101-200 posts -Senior Captain 201-??? posts -Fleet Manager Incorporating your suggestion: 0-20 - Baggage Handler 21-40 - Line Boy/Line Girl 41-80 - Flight Attendant 81-100 - 1st Officer 101-300 - Captain 301-??? - Senior Captain BTW for those that don't know what a line boy/line girl is, it's the person who helps out the ground crew by moving the tug and assists in passenger boarding if necessary (among other things). I like the chain of command idea within the airlines.

As with some us of as cruise agents, the specialists at Princess and Cunards earned levels from First Mate up to Captain and finally to Commander in keeping with the travel theme. And then some of us are leisure specialists which opens up a whole other realm to choose from.....from concierges to dive masters to black diamond skiers!!!

That is where I had the problem--if we were Flyertalk the pilots is a no brainer. If we were CruiseCritic, the cruise ranks works. Ski site, the skiier designations. BUt we are sort of all encompassing.....maybe look to just travelers as a whiole....
Homebody County Traveler State Traveler Flyer Cruiser World Traveler Hmm I may be onto someothg any ideas to expand on that?
