Boeing may further delay first deliveries of its flagship 787 Dreamliner by at least six months to account for the recent strike by union machinists and other snags.

You could almost hear a collective sigh of relief over the weekend by Boeing’s sales force and a few of their customers like ANA (All Nippon Airways), JAL (Japan Airlines), and Air India, who are all counting on receiving their first shipments of the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner some time next year. Report: computer glitch caused Qantas plunge
Last week, a Qantas Airbus A330 bound for Perth, Australia from Singapore made an emergency landing in Learmonth, Australia after the aircraft experienced a sudden change in altitude resulting in injuries. While cruising at 37,000 feet, it suddenly gained altitude then dropped 1,000 feet down in a little over a minute. Initial reports blamed it on turbulence.
