Delta to offer first class service on shuttle flights
In a move to match US Airways Shuttle’s offering, Delta will offer first class service on its shuttle flights between New York and Washington and New York and Boston beginning December 1. The MD88s will now have 14 First class seats and 128 economy seats.

Delta cuts flights from Boston
Delta Air Lines Inc. will cease direct flights to at least six cities from Boston and roll back daily service to two other destinations. As a result, Logan International Airport’s largest carrier will be JetBlue Airways, based on number of destinations served.
Boston to NYC by train has record passengers
Last year, Amtrak’s high-speed Acela Express train carried a record 593,000 passengers from Boston to New York. An Amtrak rep says Acela’s market share on the busy route grew from 36 percent in 2006 to 41 percent last year.
