BA adds fuel surcharge
The fuel surcharge merry-go-round continues. Next up, British Airways which announced today that fares on long-haul flights, those to destinations outside of Europe, will increase by $40 to $60 per round trip.
United raises fuel surcharge
United Airlines will raise its domestic fuel surcharge by $10 to $20 roundtrip. The move piggybacks a fare increase announced less than a week ago.
Carnival to bump fuel fee
Carnival will increase its fuel surcharge to $7 per day. The maximum charge will jump from $70 to $98 per passenger.
Fla. AG on refund watch
Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum said Tuesday that his office will be keeping watch over Carnival Corp. and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. to follow through on their fuel-surcharge refunds.
Cruisers to get reimbursed
Florida’s attorney general has settled with Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. to reimburse passengers for a deceptive fuel charge.
