Can the vehicle above become a new icon of emission-free transportation in the City of Love? Perhaps, as Paris now has a small fleet of hybrid pedal rickshaws, similar to those in Rome and Valencia.

Your next rental car may be a hybrid, if a press release issued by Hybrid Rental Car is to be believed. The site claims “a lot more people” are asking to rent one of these more fuel-efficient vehicles.

Car rental companies are trying to cash in on higher gas prices and America’s newfound fascination with all things green. The latest is Advantage Rent A Car, which earlier this week declared its commitment to becoming “the first major all green car rental company in the United States.”
