Nicolas Cage kidnaps the president and drags him into a secret basement beneath Mount Vernon in “National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets.” I rolled my eyes and suspended belief — surely this is made-for-movies fantasy, just like the buried treasure under Manhattan. Not so fast! There really is a secret basement under Mount Vernon!
