Delta cuts capacity for NY-DC shuttle

In a move to cut costs and to meet slowing demand, Delta will soon transition its MD-88 fleet to the smaller Embraer E-175 jets for the New York LaGuardia-Washington DC route — in effect, cutting capacity by 50 percent.
