A nation fixated by Hurricane Gustav — but what about Hanna?

Apparently, there’s only one storm threatening the country. Its name is Hurricane Gustav.

But wait. What about Hanna, the tropical storm bearing down on the Bahamas, Florida and Georgia?

We know where the Director of FEMA is, where the President will be, how the folks living in New Orleans are getting out of town, what happened when Katrina came to town and how the federal officials handled her, and will handle Gustav. And, we love the yellow slickers.

What about Hanna? Turn on the national news and you’d think the storm doesn’t exist. For the millions of travelers heading to Florida, for business or pleasure, there is nothing to say.

Should they change their plans? What are their options? Is this storm going to be a problem?

The only place to get any substantive information about Hanna is NOAA.gov, which continues to show the storm cruising past Florida after leaving her mark on the Bahamas.

Oh, and that cruise I told you about yesterday? It’s still scheduled to set sail today — directly into Hanna’s path.
