Airline profits keep rolling in
WestJet in Canada reported a $53 million profit and Finnair checked in with a profit of $8.6 million.
No U.S. airlines have reported a profit since Southwest reported earlier in April.
Note: Both of these airlines are not third-world companies with rock-bottom labor and facilities costs. WestJet faces similar costs as U.S. airlines. Well-run airlines can be profitable, even in this economic environment.
