An impromptu proposal
So much for romance. A Canadian man thought he had come up with the perfect setting to propose to his high school sweetheart — that is until an airport security screener asked him to remove a suspicious box from his carry-on luggage. The Associated Press reports that Aaron Tkachuk, 24, had intended to propose to girlfriend Jennifer Rubadeau during a Caribbean cruise this week. But after the cat, or in this case the ring, was out of the bag, he dropped to one knee and proposed on the spot at the airport. Hardly the stuff of fairy tales, but it was good enough for Rubadeau. She said yes.
