Astoundingly, some airlines make money
In case anyone has forgotten, Southwest Airlines made a profit once again — they have never lost money. Lufthansa earned almost $100 million in the first-quarter. Lufthansa subsidiary, Swiss International Air Lines, once in bankruptcy contributed €52 million to those operating results.
A few airlines are learning their lessons.
