BA plane makes emergency landing

A British Airways plane headed for San Francisco made an emergency landing in Ireland Saturday night. According to the Associated Press, the Boeing 747 was en route from Heathrow Airport to San Francisco with 347 people (328 passengers) aboard when it landed. “There was some sort of emergency concerning the hydraulic system,” Shannon Airport Spokesman Eugene Pratt said, adding that the plane landed safely in Ireland.
