Cruise lines threaten to sue Alaska for new tax
Cruise lines threaten suit –
A cruise ship attorney warned Alaska legislators Tuesday that cruise operators will likely sue the state if it charges a $50 head tax on cruise ship passengers. The state would spend “tens and tens of thousands of dollars” defending the head tax proposed by Rep. Pressure at the car rental counter –
Most of us have a rental car horror story that includes endless forms or the roadside service that never turns up. Then there are the seemingly unending costs. Many travelers pay more attention to their flight plans than car rental arrangements. If you want a clean car, helpful staff and plenty of airport locations, then do your research.

You and your colleague sat together on the long flight. You both feel jet-lagged and saddle-sore, with gritty eyes and an overdose of airline food.
Airport faeces up to awful situation –
A blocked toilet caused chaos at Hobart Airport yesterday when baggage handlers mistook a putrid toilet smell for a dangerous gas leak and evacuated the building. Around 30 passengers and airline staff were rushed from the Qantas domestic airport terminal as a precaution after the stink was noticed just after 1.30pm.
