Delta CEO, $11.3 million pay … in four months!!?
Richard Anderson, the CEO of Delta Air Lines Inc., received total compensation valued at nearly $11.3 million for the four months he ran the nation’s third-largest carrier in 2007, according to a regulatory filing Thursday. (reported by AP)
Oh how the CEOs are suffering in the age of high jet fuel prices.
I think we need a merger!
I think we need to charge $25 for the second bag.
I think we need to raise airfares again.
I think we need to take pillows out of coach.
I think we need to lose another thousand or more bags.
I think we need to limit meals during flights.
I think we need to charge more for potato chips and candy snacks.
I think we need to reduce legroom on more flights.
I think we need to charge more to carry pets.
I think we need to charge more to deal with unaccompanied minors.
I think we need to charge more for overweight luggage.
This is the executive that claims his planned merger with Northwest is proposed to provide a better flight experience for their customers and enhanced jobs for Delta and Northwest employees. I realize that he is only trying to keep adequate vittles on his family table.
And I’m a conservative free-market guy. This is enough to turn my stomach.

All I have to say is that anyone who receives almost 11 million dollars for running Delta Air Lines over a four month period is one sorry, self-serving son of a *****.
