Delta-Northwest pilots meet
In what may be a favorable sign in the Delta Air Lines-Northwest Airlines merger, pilot union leaders representing the two airlines met in Washington on Wednesday. The Associated Press reports that those at the meeting did not include the full negotiating teams of the unions. According to the report, several people familiar with the discussions have said the pieces of a deal that would create the world’s largest airline are in place, held up only by the lack of a seniority agreement between the pilots at each carrier.
