Delta, NWA talking merger again?

Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines are reportedly back at the negotiating table after a previous effort fizzled as pilots couldn’t come to terms over seniority. According to a report by Reuters, Delta’s board members met Friday and agreed to revisit talks with Northwest. A source told Reuters that the original terms of the deal assumed $90 a barrel oil. Now that oil is over $100 a barrel, those terms will need to be reworked. Delta declined comment and Northwest Airlines was not immediately available for comment, Reuters reported.
