Delta posts huge loss
Delta Air Lines reported a $6.39 billion loss in the first quarter Wednesday. During the same period a year ago, the airline reported a loss of $130 million. According to the Associated Press, the airline pinned the loss on rising fuel prices and a drop in the company’s market value.
Separately, Northwest Airlines also reported a wide loss of $4.14 billion, stemming mostly from a large charge, the AP reports.
