Denver may be Frontier’s last stand
The survival of Frontier Airlines may depend largely on whether or not it can fend off competitors United Airlines and Southwest Airlines in Denver. The airline is a strong No. 2 in its hometown, behind United and a head of Southwest, which just began serving the Mile High City in 2006. According to USA Today, Southwest is about to up the ante and add non-stop flights to 13 destinations to its schedule.
