The TalkingTravelers.com forums are debating the merits of heeding the ‘fasten seatbelt’ sign when it’s illuminated on a plane. “It seems that every flight I’m on with turbulence as soon as the FA’s make the announcement that the sign is on and people are to remain seated SOMEONE has to get up to go to the bathroom,” says one traveler. “Or get something from the overhead bin. Because surely the announcement just applies to other people right?” So what does a poll on the site say about ignoring the seatbelt light? You’d be surprised.
