From our forums: “Ma’am, please remove your nipple rings with these pliers”

The TSA is at it again. A Texas woman who said she was forced to remove a nipple ring with pliers in order to board an airplane has called for an apology by federal security agents and a civil rights investigation. And people on our forums are … cringing. “Weird … and painful,” remarked one.

Duh…..She KNEW she was going to set off alarms, surely she can’t
claim ignorance! TSA had every right to investigate the source of the
metal. What they didn’t have to do, was, if it’s true, was to laugh, etc.

Quite frankly, I would have been mad, if as a TSA employee, I would
have to had to deal with someone who had done something so stupid,
thus taking up my time, whereas I could have been spending it making
sure the bad guys didn’t get on the plane vice just stupid passengers!

I agree with Heather 100%! When I first heard about this on TV, I couldn’t help but to start laughing. How stupid of this woman to NOT take out her ‘rings’. Everyone who flies knows you have to go through a scanner. Did she think she wouldn’t set off an alarm?

People never cease to amaze me!
