The talk of the TalkingTravelers forums is today’s demise of Aloha Airlines. The airline said yesterday it will halt all passenger service after Monday, signaling the end of an airline that has served Hawaii for more than 60 years. “This is so sad,” said one traveler. “I just flew with them yesterday on an interisland flight between Honolulu and Kona. The employees and supporters of the airline had staged a rally at the state capital on Friday. I was talking with a couple of the FA’s on one of my flights and they seemed so optimistic.”

Not forgetting that Aloha, along with Hawaiian, helped run Mahalo Air out of business. The only difference is that go! had much deeper pockets.
