The TalkingTravelers forums are mulling the merits of re-regulating the airline industry. Recent comments from Robert Roach Jr., the general vice president of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, triggered the debate. “Limited re-regulation is the only long-term solution for an industry that is continually seeking government assistance,” he said. “This industry is simply unable to turn away from pricing its product below the cost of providing it.”
