Our TalkingTravelers forums are on fire with a discussion about airline competition — specifically, the government’s granting of antitrust immunity to Skyteam. “With its latest ruling, we’re down to very few airlines actually competing against each other for international business,” says one commenter. “This ruling by the Bush Administration makes it very easy now for the airlines to raise prices, as competition is reduced to almost imperceptible.”
