Glitch delays United’s Leap day check-ins
“Easy Check-In” at United Airlines wasn’t so easy on Leap Day, when the automated system crashed. The nation’s No. 2 carrier blamed the service interruption on software issues related to the leap year. According to an Associated Press report, the airline didn’t have similar problems on Leap Day in 2004. Wired’s Threat Level blog has a small roundup of 2/29-related software glitches.
