Shark attack near Hilton Head, S.C. — A 7-year-old girl from Missouri was bitten by a shark while playing in two feet of water on Wednesday, Beaufort County deputies said. The girl suffered puncture wounds to her foot and buttocks in the attack Wednesday afternoon, but the injuries were not life threatening, deputies said. (AP)
Delta raises fuel surcharge on trans-Atlantic flights — Delta Air Lines, the nation’s third-largest carrier, said Thursday it is raising passenger surcharges on trans-Atlantic flights originating in the United States and South America by $10 each way because of high fuel prices. (AP)
Go! Sparks another round of airfare wars — Go!, Hawaii’s new upstart airline, is offering a promotional one-way fare of $19, plus fees and taxes, according to parent company Mesa Air Group Inc.
