Lava watching in Hawaii

Nearly 9,000 people per day on average are visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to witness the eruption of Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano. “Everybody’s coming. I think they recognize they have an opportunity to participate and be here at a very historic time,” said Cindy Orlando, the park’s superintendent, told The Associated Press. “They’re witnessing the creation of earth, and you can’t experience that anywhere else in the world.”
