Neeleman leaves JetBlue
David Neeleman, founder of JetBlue, will not stand for re-election to the board of directors of the airline he founded. Apparently, he will focus on his new airline start-up project in Brazil.
Neeleman is a serial entrepreneur. He started Morris Air (together with June Morris) and sold it to Southwest Airlines. Then he worked with start-up Open Skies, an airline reservation platform that was bought by HP. He help form Westjet in Canada. After his non-compete contract with Southwest expired, he founded JetBlue.
