Paper tickets going extinct
SmarterTravel informs us that starting June 1, the 240 member airlines of the International Air Transport Association will no longer offer paper tickets and make the switch over to electronic tickets. The switch will save the airline industry $3 billion a year, but it doesn’t seem likely that any of the savings will be passed onto the e-ticket wielding public, the post concludes.
