Pilots fired for overshooting runway
Mesa Air Group fired two pilots on its Hawaii inter-island carrier Go for overshooting a runway by 15 miles while trying to land on the state’s Big Island. According to a report by the Associated Press, investigators were looking into the possibility that the pilots had fallen asleep on the flight from Honolulu to Hilo, where the plane landed safely.
