LAX commission votes to add fee to car rentals — A long-standing plan to reduce traffic and air pollution at Los Angeles International Airport moved forward Monday — but at a price for everyone who rents cars there. Airport commissioners voted 6-0 to add a $10 surcharge to every car rental at the airport. The money will help pay for the initial design and reviews of a sprawling new building to house all of the main rental-car agencies. (The Daily Breeze)
