Spring break deals come in April
With Easter and spring break falling within weeks of (or in some cases coinciding with) one another this year, experts say the high demand will push travel prices higher in March… thereby leaving the bargains for April. From The New York Times: “The good news is that travelers with flexibility will find fewer crowds and cheaper deals in April — normally considered peak season — when travel demand is expected to dwindle as students return to school. For example, average airfare to Orlando is up by just 3 percent for April compared with the same period last year, while prices in March jumped 12.5 percent, according to Expedia. Even better, average airfare to Cancún and Fort Myers, Fla., is down 2 percent or more for April, versus slight increases for March.”
