US Airways, United talking merger
More merger mania. Reports say US Airways and United are in merger talks. Following the lead of the Wall Street Journal, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette provides few clues to the rumor at this point. Instead, the P-G recounts past US Airways bids (one for United in 2000 and last year’s unsuccessful bid for Delta Air Lines). US Airways is the largest carrier at Pittsburgh’s airport.
